The cloth we keep.
Reserve is not a collection. It is the mark on the cloths we keep for our own shop — sold by Ästhetik, and by no one else — so that when you see it, you know exactly what you are holding.
The rule
A Reserve cloth is one we keep for our own shop — you’ll find it nowhere else.
That is the whole of it.
Why we mark it
A reserve, in the old sense, is the stock a maker holds back — the wine the house keeps, the cloth the mill won’t sell on. Ours is the cloth we keep for our own shop: no stockist carries it, no other store lists it.
That is worth marking plainly on the cloth, and worth telling you exactly what it means. So the mark does the telling — on a tile, on the cloth’s page, on the swatch label — and the one word means one thing: only from Ästhetik. Today it sits on cloths in Weathervane Hill and Sensoria; tomorrow, on cloths still to come.
The Reserve cloths
Every cloth carrying the mark, in one place. The list grows as new cloths are taken into reserve.
Want a Reserve cloth in your hand?
Order a swatch, or ask us. And wherever you see the mark on this site — on a cloth’s page, or in a grid — this is what it means: ours alone, only from Ästhetik.
